Description

Because the increasing amount of disabled children in the primary school, the wish grew to provide the children with the care they needed. For this reason the Mt. Elgon trust asked MWM to design a house where the children (from 4-18) can be taken care of.

The house was designed during the spring of 2012 and is planned to be completed in August that same year. For the children who, are all mentally challenged, it was important to design a compact house where the caretakers have a clear overview of the children’s activities. The house, situated next to the orphanage, will have a common playground and vegetable garden. And hopefully make the children help each other.
